    One should ask: Why did I win? Why did I lose? Did I win because I was so good (training, commitment, knowledge) or I did win because the situation/competitor did not require much effort to overcome.

    i guess its more than 10000 hours , its your whole life , its how you really are , when you fell happy in a certain field time stops and you feel free , then the start in you heart start to bright . Main difference its just few people really find what they are really good at when childs ,some find late and some never find it . "When you find your passion , discipline is the least important thing" .

    Another video filled with good advice. One thing though, Conor. You're so often referring to athletes and their goals. It need be remembered that most sports professionals dream of being great when their kids, manage a few years, say 20 to 30...maybe 35 if they'really good...and have another 50 years ahead of them after that. Important years, Conor! Maybe something to bear in mind in future videos. Oh, and I speak from experience, I turned 88 this month.

    • @ConorNeill
      @ConorNeill 16 днів тому

      Good point! There is a whole section of life after the pro athlete has stopped being a pro athlete that still needs to be lived. Freud said that "all neurosis is the result of avoidance of necessary pain" - these disciplines of facing what is necessary and doing it now are not just for pro athletes - but the metaphors stick ;-)
